Concept Note Submission Process
(The deadline for concept note submission is Dec. 18, 2009)
Obtain the template for concept note submission by sending an email message to :
Fill in the template, then paste it into an email message and send it to concept@cmts-cmst.org. Do not attach the template to your email message. Be sure to paste the completed template into the message field of your email program.
Questions about the concept note process should be addressed, well in advance of the submission deadline, to the Centre for Media and Transitional Societies by email at the following address: concept@cmts-cmst.org. Questions and answers will be added to the published FAQ list.
Submissions received after Dec. 18, 2009, or which are incomplete, will not be eligible for consideration. Information regarding the status of the application, other than confirmation of its receipt, will not be available until the shortlist is finalized.
Applicants whose concept notes have been qualified through a peer review process will be contacted by Jan. 15, 2010 and invited to submit a full proposal. The deadline for submission of the full proposals will be Feb. 15, 2010 and grant recipients will be notified of the results of the competition by March 31, 2010

All applicants will be notified by mid-January of the status of their concept note submission. Concept notes will be peer reviewed by a granting committee. Successful applications will be shortlisted and advance to the second stage of the selection process. Those applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal.
